Welcome to The Spine Clinic: Your Salem Chiropractor

Our chiropractor in Salem, OR, Dr. Lyndon McGill, is the CEO of The Spine Clinic, a comprehensive, holistically-focused healthcare facility that aims to treat individuals and families in the community with high quality wellness and pain management services.

Our philosophy involves taking a “whole-person” approach to good health and wellness. This means that we concern ourselves with much more than just sickness. Our goal is to provide long-term health solutions for our patients and that means clearly identifying the root causes of illness and injury and not just assessing symptoms. As a member or your regular health maintenance team, we want you to experience the kind of wellness that only total alignment in mind, body and spirit can bring. At The Spine Clinic, we take into consideration all of the physical, mental and emotional factors that may be contributing to your health problems. We do our best to devise treatment strategies that bring all of those aspects of your life into a harmonious balance.

What We Do

We always begin our treatments with a comprehensive review of your medical history, lifestyle, habits and emotional well-being. Afterwards, a thorough physical exam helps to give us more clues as to how we should approach making a diagnosis and creating a personalized treatment plan that best suits your specific issues.

At the end of your first visit, we will typically perform an initial adjustment. The core of chiropractic care is correcting problems with the musculoskeletal structure through examination and manipulation of the spine. Spinal manipulation can be used to address a wide variety of physical and emotional issues such as back, neck and shoulder pain, migraine headaches, severe anxiety, sciatica, carpal tunnel syndrome, fibromyalgia, herniated discs, and muscle sprains, among other problems.

The Chiropractic Lifestyle

One of the most beneficial aspects of chiropractic care is the focus on a non-medicinal approach to healing. The belief is that, under the proper guidance, the body has a powerful innate ability to heal itself, if given the opportunity. With chiropractic, the treatment mainly consists of customized, hands-on care that seeks to not only heal your body but to educate you on the best ways to become an active partner in your own healthcare. As your body adjusts to a more natural, drug-free, non-invasive way of being cared for, you’ll be able to navigate a clearer pathway to creating long-term, ongoing wellness. Your health maintenance then becomes more instinctive and, as a consequence, you generally become less susceptible to illness and injury.

Services We Offer

Although manual chiropractic adjustments are the cornerstone of our personalized care, we offer many other treatments and access to services that aim to enhance the effects of spinal manipulation. We focus on natural pathways to health, but we recognize that sometimes traditional medical intervention may be necessary. In such cases, we are happy to refer you to one of our trusted physician partners during the course of treatment.

Depending on your particular situation, we may also add other holistic services to your treatment plan such as nutritional counseling or massage therapy. This approach serves to expedite the healing process and provides a more naturally integrative experience.

Reviews From our Satisfied Patients

  • "Dr McGill and staff are giving me my mobility back. For years the rheumatologists have told me not to use chiropractic for my AS. Since I started going to him I now can turn my head more then the 20 degrees left or right and my back and neck pains are down to a 3 or 4 from a 6 or 7. He use a combination of massages and gentle manipulation to get the movement back. 5 stars are not enough."
